How To Calculate Cost Based on Total Square Footage

To calculate the total cost for turf multiply the total square footage of turf needed by the dollar amount.  Square footage is determined by multiplying the Width by the Height of the area to be covered in turf (see diagram at right). 

 

For Example:

600 square feet at $2.25 per s.f. will cost $1,350

(600 x 2.25 = 1,350)

INSTALLATION MATERIALS & TOOLS (TO BE PURCHASED LOCALLY)
Base Material: Crusher Fines (Also called Breeze or Fine Crushed Rock) 10 pounds per square foot will give you approximately 1” to 2” of base material.  This covers any surface irregularities.  NOTE: ROAD BASE NEEDED IN ADDITION TO THE CRUSHER FINES FOR AREAS THAT REQUIRE A BUILD-UP OF MORE THAN 5”.  Road Base costs range from $6 per ton (2000 pounds) to $21 per ton, plus delivery.
