I received 6 quotes to turf the area around my deck this spring. All of the companies had fantastic owners/sales staff who produced great samples. After all my research, Jerome had the best product at the best price. (you can really tell the difference that the product is NOT made in China). Once you see the samples, the product will speak for itself.The best part though wasn't even the price, or the product. It was the installation crew. It took 6 guys about 4 hours to remove everything (a lot of work) and finish the installation for 400 square feet. They didn't just do a great job, they worked quickly and efficiently, were extremely friendly, and cleaned up beyond my expectations with exceptional attention to detail. Best of all, one guy on the crew is a drainage specialist...it's literally "what he does"....so if that's a concern....it really shouldn't be.If you're on the fence, let me push you towards Design Turf, you simply won't regret it. If you're like me, after reviewing all the different companies and see it as a no brainer, rest assured once the job is complete you'll definitely have the satisfaction of knowing you made the right decision. My mother-in-law had her yard done too....exact same experience and we've both offered our properties as a place for potential customers to look at if need be...THAT's how happy we are with the service.

I have lived at my current house in west Toronto for 18 years. I have tried to maintain a proper lawn without any success. I have tried everything such as seeding, over seeding, laying sod (the raccoons had nightly parties with that) and nothing ever worked for more than a couple of weeks. It is also a very shady yard which contributed to the problem not to mention that I have a small dog that would go on the grass on occasion. For the last two years my yard has gone unused and turned into a mud and weed pit. I had even given up on the gardens as the grass area was such a mess. (See the before picture). I looked into artificial turf as I had seen it on a couple of lawns in the neighbourhood and felt that would be a good solution. I did not want to lay a full brick patio. I called and visited and researched several retailers. Design Turf was the only one that I found that actually came out to the site with product that allowed me to discuss my specific needs and compare the different weights. They use the Pro Green© turf that is manufactured in US. Jerome was clear, experienced and introduced me to the weaved backing that allows for better flow as opposed to the plastic or rubber backing with small holes ever few inches that pretty much every other retailer offers. The backing also acts as a solid weed barrier as opposed to the small holes which I have read can invite weeds. They are the only grass company that I found that carried this backing. The flow factor was tested last night as Toronto experienced heavy rains which caused flooding in the city yet my new lawn showed no signs of water overflow on to my patio. Another big plus that Design Turf offered is that they have their own installation team. Most other outfits give you the name of a couple of landscaping companies and it is up to you to chase them down. I wasted a week doing this. Mine was a very small project (15 X 15) so getting a contractor to quote the job was a struggle. I did price out another company which had a much less expensive grass (not with the weaved backing) but with the installation quote it came out to be the same price. The installation team lead by Philip (5 in all) were quick professional and answered any questions I had about the process and maintenance of the product. My experience with Design Turf was excellent and the completed job looks terrific! Now I can get back to gardening and enjoying my back yard. BTW the product is also pet friendly. I contracted Design Turf refurbish my yard that was overgrown with weeds and was becoming a large ant farm. They also were to spruce up my garden. I was totally amazed at the beautiful results. Alex, Kyle and the crew did an outstanding job and I couldn't thank them enough for their hard work and perseverance . Especially on some extremely hot days. Clean up was spotless.
